      Page 17, 8th line, 7th bar, i.e. after the four bars of rests instead of

      In the violoncello part of the first trio in D.
       First Allegro, second part, 60th bar, the crotchet rest is omitted.

                                        

     In the 64th bar there is the same omission.

                                         

     A fever, which thoroughly upset me, prevented me from sending you immediately these errata which I subsequently discovered.  In future do have all the works played through at your house with a few instruments, so that mistakes of this kind may be detected at once and corrected.  I have told you so often – and I am now reminding you – that a proof impression is always the safest – Do reply soon, and about the three works as well, since in all probability you must have now ha them for a considerable time –
